Blog drinks in the shadow of Spring Street!

Organised by Barista and starring the Daily Flautist:
The wonderful Flute is coming to town, and we are doing the customary thing with him. As usual, it will be at Spleen, the bar joint at the top of Bourke St, on the southern side, just down from Parliament House. The date is next Friday, the 17th. The time is 6.00 onwards. We will repair next door for grub, cos it is reasonably cheap.
If the presence of such big-hitting blogonalities is intimidating, rest assured that pissants like myself will also be flitting around, drinking up dry white and wit and making the hot goss.

Sadly I'll probably be in work shirt, but normally semi-cas would be the go I think, it's a friendly place and crew.

You'll find only some of them are political types, and much talk focusses on (1) the geeky world of blogging itself, gossip etc (2) curious forays into finding out who people really are.

Pretty chilled out on the whole. I'm a veteran of several..

If you see a large economy sized redhead looking lost, point me in the direction of the fellowship of the blog.
That's before I get abducted by white slavers.

armaniac you slay me - 'sadly I'm in a work shirt' - does this mean if you had time to go home first, you would blind us with your sartorial innovation?
WORK shirts are good. there are employed people and there are unemployed people. I will see you there - I'll wear a necktie so you'll know me. xxx

Great to see you armaniac, and Camera Obtusa, and Darlene Taylor, Copperwitch, Laputan Logic, After Grog Blog and Boynton. Readers, the 'workshirt' was a fine piece of tailoring; and the grogblog was pretty damn good too. Photo at Lane' sEdge
