What bastards put a photo of my kitchen on the net!
$400K... lol, where I grew up in Adelaide, that could buy 2.5 4bd houses...
Seriously, it's not Canberra, so where is it?

Quick! Call Michael Caton! This must be an 'opportunity' for someone...
This is described as 'basic facilities'.

Not Canberra? Why? Because Canberra is more expensive?

As for expensive real estate, according to (I think) ABS numbers and the REIA, Canberra is second only to Sydney City (CBD+25km) for most expensive place to buy.
I'm guessing this is Northcote, re: your previous blog mention of househunting in the area. If it is, at that price, the house must be on one of those luxurious sized blocks ripe for "development"*.

Well if it's 'cote, that roof would be leaking like fucking Niagara right now. Our skillion roof just gave up the fight, three buckets now called into service.
Local stuff - the Wesley Anne got flooded, traffic lights were out and the MFB firerys have been doing precision truck dancing around that bloody pole.
Really, if that was my joint I'd torch it for the insurance.
