Aside from an exceptional rendition of The Partisan, I was blown away by a spoken word piece at the Leonard Cohen concert, so much so that I feel the urge to share it here.

I saw him in Sydney. It was the best concert I have been to. Ever. In my teenage years he was the 'one', not Dylan or the Beatles or the Stones. When I won a book prize in high school I asked for (and got) a compendium of his writing.
Even though I knew every song, I discovered more meaning in the live performance.
The show was almost an act of worship. The Brian Wilson shows weren't the same as there you were worshiping a sad reflection of former greatness whereas Cohen has gained, not lost, something over the years.
I saw Neil Young earlier in the same week, and although it was a great show (especially the "A Day In The Life" encore), it didn't really compare with the emotional intensity of L. Cohen.
