SMALL WONDER SHE WASN'T MOVING SO MUCH...

At 2.30am beloved's waters broke.

It's 3am.

Wish us luck!

oh man I know you are thrilled
BUT I CANNOT BELIEVE
you have managed to make a post

during the confusion which heralds
A New Person.

By now you are marvelling at the wonder which is her tiny little hand

the one which will come straight out atcha in about 12 years along with the demand "I need money Dad".
And resistance is useless.

7th of the first of 2007 is such a neat birthday.

Good luck eager dad blogger :) (and missus and bub too)

* notes time of blog entry - 3.04am...am with you Brownie on this one imagining the scenario

Missus armagniac: I really think we should go to the hospital now, the baby's coming

Armaniac: In a minute darling, have almost finished this post...

Wonder if we'll see all the action on youtube?

Fantastic. I thought that last post sounded a bit as though things were happening!

Best of luck with everything.

Good luck & congratulations.

Although I have to say my wife reacted in a similar fashion to Brownie above - "she's in labour and HE FOUND TIME TO BLOG ABOUT IT?" I have attempted to reassure her that when the time comes I won't be rushing out to blog it; she doesn't entirely believe me.

Oh dear...at least with tags I should be able to avoid poppette-related posts. Or would you prefer me to feign interest in nappies and baby-carrying devices ;)

Seriously, good luck!

What else would a man do in this situation but blog! They never did anything with the boiled water but it kept the fathers out of the way.

Given the looks and brains of the parents, perhaps we should book with Donald Trump for the Miss Universe contest.

Hope all is going well. No more "just you waits" for a while

Awesome! How exciting. Look forward to hearing of the emergence of little bear. Good luck and best wishes to all of you.

When I read in your previous post that your wife wasn't feeling well, I thought "Hmm, that's exactly how I felt just before I went into labour..." I was able to play a game of scrabble with my husband after contractions started (and I beat him too - heh heh heh). If I had been blogging then, I probably would have waddled over to the computer to do a blog post before we headed off to the hospital.

Anyway, I'm excited that you did manage to make a post cos I'll now wait with bated breath.

Oh my gourd oh my gourd 0oh my gourd...

exciting...

Hey - you can bring her to the next grogblog in one of those wee Dad pouch things!

Probably not the best time to suggest this to Beloved though.

About the Worksafe ad: unfortunately, this is a known phenomenon. After becoming a parent, the most mawkish shite will cause you to blub like, well, like a baby.

Congratulations. Won't ask the question about "how the hell did you manage to blog about this?"
